विधूमे सन्नमुसले वानप्रस्थप्रतिश्रये । काले प्राप्ते चरन्‌ भैक्ष्यं कल्पते ब्रह्म भूयसे

vidhūme sannamusale vānaprasthapratiśraye | kāle prāpte caran bhaikṣyaṃ kalpate brahma bhūyase ||

Wika ni Vyāsa: Kapag dumating na ang nararapat na panahon, ang renunciante na nabubuhay sa limos ay dapat magpunta upang mamalimos sa tahanan ng naninirahan sa gubat (vānaprastha) lamang kapag wala nang usok sa kusina at tumigil na ang tunog ng pambayo. Sa ganitong disiplinadong pamumuhay, ang pulubing-asceta ay nagiging karapat-dapat na makamit ang kalagayan ng Brahman.
