विद्वांस्त्यागी श्रद्दधधान: कृतज्ञ- स्त्यक्त्वा लोकं मानुषं कर्म कृत्वा । मेधाविनां विदुषां सम्मतानां तनुत्यजां लोकमाक्रम्य राजा
vidvāṁs tyāgī śraddadhānaḥ kṛtajñas tyaktvā lokaṁ mānuṣaṁ karma kṛtvā | medhāvināṁ viduṣāṁ sammatānāṁ tanutyajāṁ lokam ākramya rājā ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Ang hari—marunong, mapagpigil at marunong magbitiw, may pananampalataya, at marunong tumanaw ng utang na loob—matapos gampanan ang mga tungkulin ng tao at lisanin ang mundong mortal, ay nakamit ang dako ng mga matatalino at marurunong, na iginagalang ng lahat, yaong mga banal na nagbubuwis ng katawan sa mga sagradong pook.
