दातार: संगृहीतार आर्या: करुणवेदिन: । महाप्रसादा ऋजवो दृढ्भक्ता जितेन्द्रिया:
śakra uvāca | dātāraḥ saṅgṛhītāra āryāḥ karuṇavedinaḥ | mahāprasādā ṛjavō dṛḍhabhaktā jitendriyāḥ ||
Wika ni Śakra: “Sila’y mga nagbibigay, ngunit marunong ding magtipon at mangasiwa ng yaman nang may pag-iingat. Namuhay sila ayon sa asal na nararapat sa mararangal, may malay sa habag, at dakila sa pagbibigay ng biyaya sa kapwa. Tuwid ang kalooban, matatag sa debosyon, at nagwagi laban sa mga pandama—kaya’t isinakatawan nila ang mapagkawanggawang may disiplina at ang pagpipigil na ayon sa dangal.”
शक्र उवाच
True dharmic excellence combines generosity with responsible stewardship, compassion with active beneficence, and devotion with mastery over the senses—so that giving arises from discipline and noble character rather than impulse.
Indra (Śakra) describes the qualities of exemplary people, praising their charity, noble conduct, compassion, graciousness, straightforwardness, steadfast devotion, and self-control as a model of righteous life.
