Vimokṣa-niścaya: Pañcaśikha’s Analysis of Aggregates, Guṇas, and Tyāga (मोक्षनिर्णयः)
जो लोभवश काम-क्रोधका अनुसरण करते हुए धर्ममार्गका उल्लंघन करके अधर्मका आचरण करने लगता है, वह सगे-सम्बन्धियोंसहित नष्ट हो जाता है ।।
śabdādīn viṣayāṁs tasmān na saṁrāgād ayaṁ vrajet | krodho harṣo viṣādaś ca jāyanteha parasparāt ||
Wika ni Bhīṣma: Kaya ang taong naghahangad ng sariling kapakanan ay hindi dapat, sa ilalim ng pagkakapit (rāga), humabol sa mga bagay ng pandama gaya ng tunog at iba pa. Sapagkat kapag nilulon ang mga ito dahil sa pagnanasa, sumisibol dito ang galak, poot, at panlulumo—na ang isa’y nagbubunga ng isa pa—at ginugulo ang paghatol, inililihis ang tao sa landas ng dharma.
भीष्म उवाच
Do not pursue sense-objects out of attachment; craving triggers a chain of emotional upheavals—elation, anger, and dejection—each feeding the next, which destabilizes judgment and leads one away from dharma and one’s true welfare.
