अमूनि यानि स्थानानि देवानां परमात्मनाम् | नानासंस्थानवर्णानि नानारूपफलानि च
bhīṣma uvāca | amūni yāni sthānāni devānāṃ paramātmanām | nānāsaṃsthānavarṇāni nānārūpaphalāni ca |
Wika ni Bhishma: “Ang mga tahanan ng mga diyos—mga nilalang na dakila at nagsasarili—ay inilalarawan na sari-sari ang anyo ng kanilang mga gusali at kulay, at iba-iba rin ang anyo ng mga gantimpala. Sa mga banal na daigdig ay may mga makalangit na vimāna na nakalilipad at nakagagalaw ayon sa nais, at may mariringal na bulwagang pagpupulungan na malayang mapaglalakaran; at, O hari, naroon ang maraming uri ng pook-ligaya at mga balong may hagdan na pinalalamutian ng mga gintong lotus.”
भीष्म उवाच
Bhishma emphasizes that the results of merit (phala) are not uniform: higher realms and their enjoyments are described as varied in form, splendor, and reward, implying gradations of karmic outcome and the diversity of heavenly experience.
In Shanti Parva’s instructional setting, Bhishma continues advising the king by describing the abodes of the gods—depicting their wondrous features such as celestial vehicles, assembly halls, pleasure-grounds, and lotus-adorned waters—within a broader discourse on realms attained through virtue.
