एवं षोडशविस्तारो ज्योतीरूपगुण: स्मृत: । हस्व दीर्घ
evaṁ ṣoḍaśa-vistāro jyotī-rūpa-guṇaḥ smṛtaḥ | hrasva-dīrghaḥ sthūlaś caukoraś ca sarvataḥ golaḥ śvetaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ raktaḥ pītaś cākāśa-sadṛśo nīlaḥ kaṭhinaḥ ślakṣṇaḥ alpaḥ picchilaḥ mṛduḥ dāruṇaś ceti | evaṁ jyotirmaya-rūpa-nāmakaḥ guṇaḥ ṣoḍaśa-bhedaiḥ vistāraṁ prāptaḥ ||
Sinabi ni Bharadvāja: “Sa gayon, ang katangiang tinatawag na ‘maliwanag na anyo’ ay nauunawaang lumalawak sa labing-anim na uri: maikli at mahaba; makapal; parisukat; at bilog sa lahat ng panig; puti, itim, pula, dilaw, at bughaw na gaya ng langit; matigas at makinis; napakaliit; malagkit/malapot; malambot; at magaspang/mabangis. Sa ganitong paraan, ang katangiang tinatawag na ‘nagniningning na anyo’ ay inilalarawang umabot sa labing-anim na pagkakaiba.”
