Truth and Untruth as Light and Darkness; Svarga and Naraka as Ethical Consequences
The passage presents a cosmological symbol: the lotus’ center is identified with Mount Meru, and Brahmā, positioned at the cosmic center, is described as generating the worlds. The teaching emphasizes an ordered universe with a sacred center from which creation proceeds.
In the Bhṛgu–Bharadvāja dialogue within the Mokṣa-dharma section, Bharadvāja describes the cosmic structure using the image of a lotus and explains that Brahmā, seated at Meru’s center, carries out the creation of all realms.
