Adhyāya 164: Gautama as Guest; Kaśyapa’s Satkāra and the Fourfold Arthagati; Journey to Virūpākṣa

यदा प्राज्ञो विरमते तदा सद्यः प्रणश्यति । काम संकल्पसे उत्पन्न होता है। उसका सेवन किया जाय तो बढ़ता है और जब बुद्धिमान्‌ पुरुष उससे विरक्त हो जाता है, तब वह (काम) तत्काल नष्ट हो जाता है ।।

yadā prājño viramate tadā sadyaḥ praṇaśyati |

Wika ni Bhishma: Kapag ang marunong ay umurong mula sa pagnanasa at tumigil sa pagpapasasa rito, ang pagnanasa ay agad na naglalaho. Ang pagnanasa’y isinilang mula sa guniguni at mga pasiya ng isip; kung ito’y tinikman at pinakain, lumalaki ito, ngunit kapag ang may pag-unawa ay naging walang-kapit dito, ito’y namamatay kaagad.
