Draupadī’s Exhortation on Rājadharma and Daṇḍa (द्रौपद्याः राजधर्मोपदेशः)

विरथांश्व रथान्‌ कृत्वा निहत्य च महागजान्‌ | संस्तीर्य च रथैर्भूमिं ससादिभिररिंदमा:

virathānśva-rathān kṛtvā nihatya ca mahāgajān | saṃstīrya ca rathair bhūmiṃ sasādibhir ariṃdamāḥ ||

Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: “O hari, yaong mga kapatid na bayani, mga dumudurog sa kaaway, ay minsang nagsalita nang may matatag na paninindigan: ‘Sa digmaan ay papatayin namin si Duryodhana, gagawin naming walang karwahe ang mga mandirigmang-karwahe, at papaslangin ang malalaking elepante; sa mga karwahe at mga kabayong humihila rito ay tatakpan namin ang lupa na parang inilatag na alpombra. Pagkaraan, tatamasahin namin ang buong daigdig, sagana sa lahat ng ligaya. At sa pagsasagawa ng maraming masaganang handog na yajña, ganap sa mga kaloob at dakṣiṇā (handog at bayad sa mga pari), na nakatuon sa pagsamba sa Panginoon, ang dalamhating dulot ng pagkatapon sa gubat ay magiging kaligayahan.’ Ikaw mismo ang minsang nagpalakas ng loob nila sa Dvaitavana sa gayong mga salita; bakit ngayon ay muli mong dinudurog ang aming mga puso?”
