Apaddharma Determination: Dialogue of Viśvāmitra and the Śvapaca
'भैया! इस नेवलेसे मुझे बड़ा डर लग रहा है। इसलिये मैं तुम्हारे पीछे इस जालमें प्रवेश कर जाऊँगा, परंतु दादा! तुम मुझे मार न डालना, बचा लेना; क्योंकि जीवित रहनेपर ही मैं तुम्हारी रक्षा करनेमें समर्थ हूँ ।।
bhīṣma uvāca | ulūkāc caiva māṃ rakṣa kṣudraḥ prārthayate hi mām | ahaṃ chetsyāmi te pāśān sakhe satyena te śape ||
Wika ni Bhishma: “Kapatid! Malaki ang takot ko sa monggong ito. Kaya papasok ako sa lambat na ito sa likod mo; ngunit, nakatatanda, huwag mo akong patayin—iligtas mo ako; sapagkat kung buhay lamang ako, saka ko magagawang ipagtanggol ka. At ipagsanggalang mo rin ako sa kuwago; ang hamak na nilalang na iyon ay tunay na nag-aabang sa aking buhay. Kaibigan, isinusumpa ko sa mismong Katotohanan: puputulin ko ang iyong mga tali.”
