सतां साप्तपदं मैत्रं स सखा मे5सि पण्डित: । सांवास्यकं करिष्यामि नास्ति ते भयमद्य वै

Transliteration

satāṁ sāptapadaṁ maitraṁ sa sakhā me ’si paṇḍitaḥ | sāṁvāsyakaṁ kariṣyāmi nāsti te bhayam adya vai ||

Translation

Wika ni Bhishma: “Sa mga matuwid, ang pagkakaibigan ay natatatak kahit sa paglakad lamang ng pitong hakbang na magkasama. Yamang matagal na tayong magkalapit na naninirahan dito, ikaw ay aking kaibigang marunong. Tutuparin ko ang tungkuling nararapat sa isang nakasalo sa tirahan; kaya mula sa araw na ito, wala ka nang dapat ikatakot.”
