अकाले हि समर्थस्य स्नेहहेतुरयं तव । तस्मान्नाहं चले स्वार्थात् सुस्थिर: संधिविग्रहे
akāle hi samarthasya snehahētur ayaṁ tava | tasmān nāhaṁ cale svārthāt susthiraḥ saṁdhivigrahē ||
Wika ni Bhishma: “Kahit may kakayahan ka, ang di-napapanahong pagpapakita mo ng paglingap sa akin ay may ugat na sariling kapakinabangan. Kaya ako man ay hindi matitinag mula sa sarili kong kapakanan; matatag at tiyak ang pasya ko tungkol sa pakikipagkasundo at pakikipag-alitan.”
