अकृत्वा संविदं काज्चित्‌ सहसा समवपष्लुत: । कृतज्ञं कृतकर्माणं कच्चिन्मां नाभिशंकसे

Transliteration

akṛtvā saṁvidaṁ kāñcit sahasā samavapluṭaḥ | kṛtajñaṁ kṛtakarmāṇaṁ kaccin māṁ nābhiśaṅkase ||

Translation

Sinabi ni Bhīṣma: “Kapatid! Nang walang anumang napagkasunduan, ni kahit maikling usapan man lamang, bakit ka biglang sumuot sa lunggang ito? Malaki ang aking utang-na-loob sa iyo; sa pag-iingat sa iyong buhay, nakagawa rin ako ng isang dakilang paglilingkod para sa iyo. Wala ka namang pagdududa sa akin, hindi ba?”
