Bhṛtya-niyoga: Role-appropriate appointment of servants and protection of the royal treasury (भृत्यनियोगः कोशरक्षणं च)

कुलज: प्राकृतो राज्ञा स्वकुलीनतया सदा । न पापे कुरुते बुद्धि भिद्यमानो5प्यनागसि

Bhīṣma uvāca: kulajaḥ prākṛto rājñā svakulīnatayā sadā | na pāpe kurute buddhiṁ bhidyamāno 'py anāgasi ||

Wika ni Bhishma: Ang taong marangal ang angkan, kahit pagmalupitan ng hari nang wala siyang kasalanan at kahit yurakan at hamakin ng iba, ay hindi ibabaling ang isip sa kasamaan. Dahil sa likas na dangal at katapatan sa kanyang lahi, hindi niya iniisip na saktan ang hari bilang ganti.
