भूरिश्रवसि कर्णे च भीष्मे द्रोणे च श्रीमति । 'पाण्डवोंने भूरिश्रवा, कर्ण, भीष्म तथा श्रीमान् द्रोणाचार्यके प्रति बहुत-से नृशंस कार्य किये हैं
bhūriśravasi karṇe ca bhīṣme droṇe ca śrīmati |
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: “Laban kina Bhūriśravas, Karṇa, Bhīṣma, at sa marangal na Droṇa, ang mga Pāṇḍava ay gumawa ng maraming malulupit na gawain.” Ipinapakita ng taludtod ang tensiyong moral ng digmaan: maging ang mga bantog na mandirigma ay nagiging sanhi ng paratang ng kalupitan, at ang tagumpay ay inilalarawang may pasan na bigat ng etika, hindi dalisay na kabayanihan.
