तावुभौ समतिक्रुद्धावुभी भीमपराक्रमौ
tāv ubhau samatikruddhāv ubhī bhīmaparākramau
Wika ni Sañjaya: Kapwa sila nag-aalab sa galit, kapwa mandirigmang may lakas na tulad ni Bhīma—bawat isa’y katapat ng isa sa tindi ng loob habang sumisiklab ang bangis ng labanan.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how anger can equally seize opposing warriors, making them mirror each other in ferocity; it implicitly warns that wrath, though common in war, intensifies conflict and can eclipse discernment (viveka), even among the mighty.
Sañjaya describes two combatants facing each other in the Shalya Parva battle scene: both are equally enraged and possess tremendous prowess, likened to Bhīma’s strength, signaling an imminent, high-intensity clash.
