Kārttikeya-Abhiṣecana: Mātṛgaṇa-Nāma Saṃkīrtana and Skanda’s Commission

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how rightful power is affirmed through harmony with cosmic and moral order: the gods and revered beings collectively acclaim the central Lord, suggesting that true authority is recognized by the wider dharmic cosmos, not established by violence alone.

A great celestial gathering erupts in a victory shout. Gods, sages, ancestral spirits, and various divine classes stand around the ‘Prabhu,’ who is depicted as encircled by major divine groups (Rudras, Vasus, Ādityas, and the Aśvins), marking a moment of exaltation and public divine endorsement.
