Adhyāya 33: Rauhiṇeya (Balarāma) is welcomed and takes his seat to witness the gadā-engagement
The verse frames the downfall of a wrongdoer as the ethical consequence of adharma: the ‘sinful’ Dhārtarāṣṭra is portrayed as destined to perish when confronted by the righteous opponent in the battlefield.
Sañjaya, narrating events to Dhṛtarāṣṭra, declares that the Dhārtarāṣṭra prince will be destroyed upon encountering ‘you’ in battle—an emphatic prediction of the Kaurava leader’s impending ruin.
