वर्माणि च समारोप्य केचिद् भरतसत्तम | समाश्चास्यापरे भ्रातृन् निक्षिप्य शिबिरेडपि च
varmāṇi ca samāropya kecid bharatasattama | samāścāsyāpare bhrātṝn nikṣipya śibire 'pi ca
Wika ni Sañjaya: “O pinakamainam sa angkan ng Bharata, may ilan na nagsuot ng baluti; ang iba nama’y tinipon ang kanilang mga kapatid at inihiga sila, maging sa loob ng kampo.”
संजय उवाच
Even in war, human bonds and responsibility persist: some prepare for continued duty by donning armor, while others attend to fallen or exhausted kinsmen, bringing them to the safety of the camp—showing compassion and care amid violence.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the warriors are in disarray and response: a portion readies itself for further fighting by putting on armor, while others gather their brothers/comrades and lay them down in the camp, indicating casualties or the need to tend the wounded.
