Unrestrained Battle Description and Śakuni’s Rear Assault
इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत शल्यपर्वमें सात्यकि और कृतवर्गाका युद्धविषयक इकक््कीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
nānābāṇair mahārāja pramuktaiḥ sarvatodiśam | nājñāyanta raṇe vīrā na diśaḥ pradiśaḥ kutaḥ ||
Wika ni Sanjaya: O Hari, nang pakawalan ang di-mabilang na mga palaso ng sari-saring uri sa lahat ng dako, nagdilim ang kaayusan ng labanan at nagkahalo-halo ang lahat—hindi na makilala ang mga mandirigma, ni matukoy ang mga direksiyon; lalo na ang mga pagitan nitong mga panig. Sa gayong kaguluhan, si Ashvatthama, anak ni Drona na nag-aalab sa poot, ay sa pamamagitan ng mga palasong bumabalot sa bawat panig ay napigil ang pagsulong ni Bhimasena.
