शल्यवधे कौरवसेनाभङ्गः, भीमस्य गदायुद्धं, दुर्योधनस्य समाह्वानम्

परित्रातुं महेष्वासान् मद्रराजपदानुगान् । अन्योन्यं परिरक्षामो यत्नेन महता नूप
paritrātuṁ maheṣvāsān madrarāja-padānugān | anyonyaṁ parirakṣāmo yatnena mahatā nṛpa ||
Sinabi ni Duryodhana: “O hari, upang mailigtas ang mga dakilang mamamana na sumusunod sa utos ng hari ng Madra, magtanggol tayo sa isa’t isa nang may malaking pagsisikap at pagbabantay.”
