Report of the Night Raid and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Lament
The verse highlights dharma expressed as disciplined obedience: a righteous king’s command, grounded in ethical order, is accepted with respect and carried out promptly, showing how duty and moral authority guide action even amid crisis.
Nakula receives and accepts Yudhiṣṭhira’s instruction and immediately rides by chariot to the women’s residential quarters—Draupadī’s dwelling, where the Pāñcāla royal women also reside—marking a swift movement to a protected inner space within the palace complex.
