Report of the Night Raid and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Lament
हत्वा भ्रातृन् वयस्यांश्व पितृन् पुत्रान् सुहृद्गणान् । बन्धूनमात्यान् पोत्रांश्व जित्वा सर्वाञ्जिता वयम्
hatvā bhrātṝn vayasyāṁś ca pitṝn putrān suhṛd-gaṇān | bandhūn amātyān pautrāṁś ca jitvā sarvān jitā vayam ||
Sinabi ng Sūta: “Napatay natin ang mga kapatid, ang mga kasabay ng gulang, ang mga nakatatandang tulad ng ama, ang mga anak, ang mga kaibigang tapat, ang mga kamag-anak, ang mga ministro, maging ang mga apo; at sa pagdaig sa kanilang lahat ay inangkin natin ang tagumpay. Ngunit ngayo’y sa huli, tayo naman ang dinaig ng ating mga kaaway.”
