Shloka 126

उपस्थितं वृद्धमन्धं पितरं पश्य भारत । तात! दुर्योधनने जो कठोर बर्ताव किया है

upasthitaṁ vṛddham andhaṁ pitaraṁ paśya bhārata | tāta! duryodhanena yo kaṭhora-vyavahāraḥ kṛtaḥ, taṁ tvaṁ hṛdaye mā kṛthāḥ | bhārata! tvaṁ tu uttama-guṇa-grahaṇecchayā svāṁ mātaraṁ gāndhārīṁ tathā iha niṣaṇṇaṁ mama andha-vṛddhaṁ tātaṁ paśya ||

“O Bhārata, tingnan mo ang iyong ama—matanda at bulag—na nakatayo sa harap mo. Anak ko, huwag mong ipunin sa dibdib ang malupit na pagtrato ni Duryodhana. O Bhārata, sa hangaring yakapin ang mararangal na katangian, ituon mo ang iyong tingin sa iyong inang si Gāndhārī at sa akin—ang iyong matandang amain na bulag—na nakaupo rito.”
