स्मरन्ति सुकृतान्येव न वैराणि कृतान्यपि । सन्त: प्रतिविजानन्तो लब्धसम्भावना: स्वयम्‌,प्रतिशोधका उपाय जानते हुए भी सत्पुरुष दूसरोंके उपकारोंको ही याद रखते हैं, उनके द्वारा किये हुए वैरको नहीं। उन साधु पुरुषोंको स्वयं सबसे सम्मान प्राप्त होता रहता है

Transliteration

smaranti sukṛtānyeva na vairāṇi kṛtāny api | santaḥ prativijānanto labdha-sambhāvanāḥ svayam ||

Translation

Wika ni Arjuna: “Ang mabubuti ay ang kabutihang ginawa sa kanila ang inaalala, hindi ang mga pagkapoot na ginawa laban sa kanila. Kahit alam nila ang paraan ng pagganti, ang mararangal ay hindi humahabol sa paghihiganti; at dahil sa asal na iyon, patuloy silang tumatanggap ng dangal at paggalang mula sa lahat.”
