दुर्योधनस्य बलिवर्णनम् — Duryodhana’s Description of Tribute at the Rājasūya
कृतो यत्नो मया पूर्व विनाशे तस्यथ सौबल । तच्च सर्वमतिक्रम्य संवृद्धो5प्स्विव पड़कजम्,सुबलपुत्र! मैंने पहले धर्मराज युधिष्ठिरको नष्ट कर देनेका प्रयत्न किया था, किंतु उन सारे संकटोंको लाँध करके वे जलमें कमलकी भाँति उत्तरोत्तर बढ़ते गये
kṛto yatno mayā pūrvaṁ vināśe tasyātha saubala | tac ca sarvam atikramya saṁvṛddho 'psv iva paṅkajaṁ ||
Wika ni Duryodhana: “Noon pa, O Saubala, ginawa ko ang lahat ng pagsisikap upang wasakin siya. Ngunit nalampasan niya ang lahat ng panganib na iyon, at lalo pang lumago—gaya ng lotus na umuusbong sa tubig.”
