इच्छतां भूमिपालानां भीष्म जीवस्यसंशयम् | लोकविद्धिष्टकर्मा हि नान्यो5स्ति भवता सम:,भीष्म! निःसंदेह तुम्हारा जीवन इन राजाओंकी इच्छासे ही बचा हुआ है; क्योंकि तुम्हारे समान दूसरा कोई राजा ऐसा नहीं है, जिसके कर्म सम्पूर्ण जगतसे द्वेष करनेवाले हों
Transliteration
icchatāṁ bhūmipālānāṁ bhīṣma jīvasy asaṁśayam | lokaviddhiṣṭakarmā hi nānyo 'sti bhavatā samaḥ, bhīṣma ||
Translation
Sinabi ni Śiśupāla: “O Bhīṣma, walang pag-aalinlangan, iniligtas lamang ang buhay mo dahil iyon ang nais ng mga haring ito. Sapagkat wala nang ibang pinuno na katulad mo—ang mga gawa mo’y bantog sa buong daigdig, at kilala sa pagkapoot sa lahat.”
