वयं चैव महाभाग जरासंधभयात्‌ तदा । शड़किता: सम महाभाग दौरात्म्यात्‌ तस्य चानघ

Transliteration

vayaṃ caiva mahābhāga jarāsandha-bhayāt tadā | śaṅkitāḥ sma mahābhāga daurātmyāt tasya cānagha ||

Translation

“O dakilang pinagpala! Noong panahong iyon, kami man ay namuhay sa walang patid na pangamba—kapwa dahil sa takot kay Jarāsandha at dahil sa lubhang kasamaan ng kanyang asal. O walang dungis! Ang kanyang kalupitan ay nagpapag-ingat maging sa malalakas; kaya sa lakas ng iyong mga bisig lamang ako umaasa. Kung wala ang iyong pag-alalay, hindi ko maituturing ang sarili kong makatatayo laban sa kanya.”
