मयस्य प्रतिकृतिः — Maya’s Offer and the Commissioning of the Sabhā
चोदितो वासुदेवस्तु मयेन भरतर्षभ । मुहूर्तमिव संदध्यौ किमयं चोद्यतामिति
codito vāsudevas tu mayena bharatarṣabha | muhūrtam iva sandadhyau kim ayaṁ codyatām iti ||
O toro sa angkan ng mga Bharata, nang udyukan ni Maya, si Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa) ay tumigil sandali sa payapang pagninilay, iniisip: “Anong hiling ang dapat niyang udyuking sabihin?”
अजुन उवाच
The verse emphasizes prudent discernment: even when a request is imminent, a wise guide (Kṛṣṇa) reflects on what is appropriate and beneficial before encouraging action. Ethical counsel involves timing, suitability, and foresight rather than haste.
Mayāsura urges Kṛṣṇa regarding a forthcoming request connected with the assembly-hall matter. Kṛṣṇa pauses briefly, thinking about what exactly Maya should be prompted to ask—signaling careful consideration before proceeding.
