अध्याय १: उत्पात-दर्शनम् तथा वृष्णि-विनाश-श्रवणम्
Omens Observed and the Hearing of the Vṛṣṇi Destruction
एते चान्ये च बहव उत्पाता भयशंसिन: । दृश्यन्ते बहवो राजन् हृदयोद्वेगकारका:
ete cānye ca bahava utpātā bhayaśaṃsinaḥ | dṛśyante bahavo rājan hṛdayodvegakārakāḥ ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “Ang mga tandang-masama na ito at marami pang iba—na nagbabadya ng pangamba—ay nakikita nang napakarami, O Hari, at nagpapayanig sa puso.”
