आहत्य च यशो दीप्त॑ सुयुद्धेनात्मनो भुवि । विसृज्य शरवर्षाणि प्रताप्य च दिशो दश
āhatya ca yaśo dīptaṁ suyuddhenātmano bhuvi | visṛjya śaravarṣāṇi pratāpya ca diśo daśa
Wika ni Śalya: “Matapos kamtin para sa sarili ang naglalagablab na katanyagan sa lupaing ito sa pamamagitan ng marangal na labanan, at matapos ibuhos ang mga ulang-palaso, ipinaabot niya ang kanyang kapangyarihang mandirigma sa lahat ng sampung panig.”
