Shloka 13

दुःशासनस्य रुधिरे पीयमाने महात्मना | व्यापन्नचेतसश्रैव शोकोपहतचेतस:,“महामना भीमसेन जब दुःशासनका रक्त पी रहे थे, तभीसे ये कृपाचार्य आदि वीर तथा मरनेसे बचे हुए सब भाई कौरव विपन्न और शोकाकुलचित्त होकर दुर्योधनको सब ओरसे घेरकर उसके पास खड़े हैं ।। पाण्डवा लब्धलक्ष्याश्वन॒ धनंजयपुरोगमा: । त्वामेवाभिमुखा: शूरा युद्धाय समुपस्थिता: “अर्जुन आदि पाण्डववीर अपना लक्ष्य सिद्ध कर चुके हैं और अब युद्धके लिये तुम्हारे ही सामने उपस्थित हो रहे हैं

sañjaya uvāca |

duḥśāsanasya rudhire pīyamāne mahātmanā |

vyāpannacetasaś caiva śokopahatacetasaḥ ||

pāṇḍavā labdhalakṣyāś ca dhanañjayapurogamāḥ |

tvām evābhimukhāḥ śūrā yuddhāya samupasthitāḥ ||

Sinabi ni Sañjaya: “Mula nang ininom ni Bhimasena, ang dakilang-loob, ang dugo ni Duhshasana, ang mga natitirang mandirigma—gaya ni Kripacharya—at ang mga kapatid na Kaurava na nakaligtas sa kamatayan ay nayanig ang diwa at nilugmok ng dalamhati; pinalibutan nila si Duryodhana sa lahat ng panig at tumindig sa kanyang tabi. Samantala, ang mga bayani ng Pandava, pinangungunahan ni Dhananjaya (Arjuna), matapos matupad ang kanilang pakay, ay ngayo’y nakaharap sa iyo, handa sa labanan.”
