Shloka 72

इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत कर्णपर्वनें श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुनका संवादविषयक बहत्तरवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

apaśyaṁ nihataṁ vīraṁ saubhadram ṛṣabhekṣaṇam | droṇadrauṇikṛpān vīrān karṣayantaṁ nararṣabhān ||

Wika ni Vāyu: “Nakita ko si Abhimanyu, ang magiting na anak ni Subhadrā—may mga matang gaya ng sa torong lalaki—na nakahandusay na patay, gayong kanina’y pinipiga at sinusupil niya nang mariin ang mga mandirigmang tila toro sa hanay ng mga tao: si Droṇa, ang anak ni Droṇa (Aśvatthāmā), at si Kṛpa. Ang tanawin ng marangal na kabataang iyon—na nagpapataas ng dangal ng mga angkan ng Kuru at Vṛṣṇi—ngunit pinabagsak sa siksikan ng labanan, ay tila apoy na sumusunog sa aking mga laman; at isinusumpa ko sa katotohanan na maging sa kasuklam-suklam na gawang ito, ang mapanlinlang na layon ni Karṇa ay kumikilos.”
