स त्वं धर्मभृतां श्रेष्ठ राजानं धर्मसंहितम् । प्रसादय कुरुश्रेष्ठमेतदत्र मतं मम,“इसलिये इस विषयमें मेरा विचार यह है कि तुम धर्मात्माओंमें श्रेष्ठ धर्मपरायण कुरुश्रेष्ठ राजा युधिष्ठिरको प्रसन्न करो
sa tvaṁ dharmabhṛtāṁ śreṣṭha rājānaṁ dharmasaṁhitam | prasādaya kuruśreṣṭham etad atra mataṁ mama ||
Wika ni Sanjaya: “Kaya nga, O pinakamainam sa mga tagapangalaga ng dharma, kamtin mo ang pagsang-ayon ng haring matatag sa katuwiran—si Yudhiṣṭhira, ang pinakadakila sa mga Kuru. Ito ang aking pinag-isipang payo sa bagay na ito.”
