दिष्टयासि राजन् न हतो दिष्ट्या न ग्रहणं गत: । परिसान्त्वय बीभत्सुं जयमाशाधि चानघ
sañjaya uvāca | diṣṭyāsi rājan na hataḥ diṣṭyā na grahaṇaṃ gataḥ | parisāntvaya bībhatsuṃ jayam āśādhi cānagha ||
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: “Sa kabutihang-palad, O Hari, hindi ka napatay; sa kabutihang-palad, hindi ka rin nabihag. Ngayon ay aliwin mo si Bībhatsu (Arjuna) at, O walang sala, utusan mo siyang umasa sa tagumpay at basbasan siya tungo sa pagwawagi.”
संजय उवाच
Even amid catastrophic war, one should respond to survival and reversals with steadiness: reassure the shaken, restore morale, and orient action toward rightful victory rather than despair.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that he has not been killed or captured in the encounter (with Karṇa in context) and urges him to console Arjuna (Bībhatsu) and encourage him to seek victory.
