अर्जुनस्य शीघ्रप्रयाणं भीम-शकुनियुद्धं च

तै: कर्णस्याभवद् युद्ध घोररूप॑ विशाम्पते । तादृग् यादृक् पुरा वृत्तं देवानां दानवै: सह,प्रजानाथ! उन सबके साथ कर्णका वैसा ही भयानक युद्ध हुआ, जैसा पूर्वकालमें देवताओंका दानवोंके साथ हुआ था
taiḥ karṇasyābhavad yuddhaṃ ghorarūpaṃ viśāṃpate | tādṛg yādṛk purā vṛttaṃ devānāṃ dānavaiḥ saha prajānātha ||
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: O panginoon ng bayan, ang labang sumiklab noon sa paligid ni Karṇa laban sa kanilang lahat ay naging kakila-kilabot, gaya ng sinaunang digmaan ng mga deva laban sa mga Dānava.
