अर्जुनस्य शीघ्रप्रयाणं भीम-शकुनियुद्धं च
Arjuna’s Rapid Advance and the Bhīma–Śakuni Encounter
अत्यद्भुतमिदं पार्थ तव पश्यामि संयुगे । अतिशेते हि यत्र त्वां द्रोणपुत्रोडद्य भारत
atyadbhutam idaṁ pārtha tava paśyāmi saṁyuge | atiśete hi yatra tvāṁ droṇaputro ’dya bhārata ||
Wika ni Sañjaya: “O Partha, sa larangang ito ng digmaan ay nasasaksihan ko ang isang bagay na lubhang kagila-gilalas sa iyo. Sapagkat ngayon, O Bharata, ang anak ni Droṇa ay malinaw na nakakalamang sa iyo.”
संजय उवाच
Even the greatest warrior can face moments of disadvantage; the verse highlights vigilance and the ethical seriousness of battle—one must not become negligent or complacent when dharma and lives are at stake.
Sanjaya reports to Dhritarashtra that Arjuna’s conduct in the fight appears surprisingly ineffective or inattentive, and that Ashvatthama (Drona’s son) is, at this moment, gaining the advantage over him.
