घोरमायोधन जज्ञे प्रेतताजपुरोपमम् । जो उनमें प्रवेश करते
sañjaya uvāca | ghoram āyodhanaṃ jajñe pretarāja-puro'upamam |
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: “Isang kakila-kilabot na larangan ng digmaan ang sumilang, na wari’y lungsod ng Panginoon ng Kamatayan. Nakapanghihilakbot ito na tila mismong kaharian ni Yama; sinumang pumasok ay para bang nilulunod nito, at nagbubunsod ng takot sa puso ng mga kṣatriya. O mandirigma! Sa ugong ng mga hayop na kumakain ng laman, ang pook na iyon ay mistulang lungsod ni Yama—nakagigimbal.”
