कर्णस्य दानप्रतिज्ञा–शल्योपदेश–वाक्ययुद्धम्

ततः किलकिलाशब्दा: प्रादुरासन् महीपते । भूपाल! तदनन्तर उस महासमरमें सहस्रों बाजे बजने लगे और वहाँ किलकिलाहटकी आवाज गूँज उठी
tataḥ kilakilāśabdāḥ prādurāsan mahīpate |
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: “Pagkaraan nito, O Hari, biglang sumiklab ang malakas na ingay ng masisiglang sigawan. Kaagad pagkatapos, sa dakilang labang iyon, libu-libong tugtugin ang sabay-sabay na umalingawngaw, at ang buong pook ng digmaan ay umuukilkil sa magulong hiyawan.”
