tataḥ punaḥ samājagmur abhītāḥ kuru-pāṇḍavāḥ | bhīmasena-mukhāḥ pārthāḥ sūta-putra-mukhā vayam ||

The verse highlights steadfastness and leadership in the face of danger: both sides renew the fight without fear, and the course of events is shaped by the foremost champions. Implicitly it reflects kṣatriya-dharma—courage and resolve in battle—while also reminding the reader how personal prowess and command influence collective fate.
After a prior phase of fighting, the two armies regroup and surge back into close combat. The Pāṇḍava forces press forward under Bhīma’s lead, while the Kaurava side rallies under Karṇa’s leadership, signaling an intensified confrontation between principal warriors.
