कर्णसेनापत्यारम्भः — Karṇa’s Appointment and the Report to Dhṛtarāṣṭra
Chapter 1
भरतनन्दन! प्रतिदिनके आवश्यक कार्य सम्पन्न करके आश्वस्त हो उन्होंने सैनिकोंको कवच आदि धारण करके तैयार हो जानेकी आज्ञा दी तथा कौतुक एवं मांगलिक कृत्य पूर्ण करके कर्णको सेनापति बनाकर वे सब-के-सब दही
tathaiva pāṇḍavā rājan kṛtapūrvāhṇikakriyāḥ | śibirān niryayus tūrṇaṃ yuddhāya kṛtaniścayāḥ ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “O Hari, gayon din ang mga Pāṇḍava: matapos ganapin ang mga karaniwang ritwal sa umaga, agad silang lumabas mula sa kampo. Matatag at di matinag ang kanilang pasiya para sa digmaan.”
