भीष्मरक्षण-उद्योगः, शिखण्डि-विवर्जनं, सर्वतोभद्र-व्यूहः

पूर्णायतविसृष्टेन सम्यक् प्रणिहितेन च । जन्नुदेशे समासाद्य विकर्ण समताडयत्,इसके बाद उसने धनुषको पूर्णरूपसे खींचकर उसपर उत्तम रीतिसे बाणोंका संधान करके विकर्णके गलेकी हँसलीमें गहरी चोट पहुँचायी
pūrṇāyatavisṛṣṭena samyak praṇihitena ca | jannudeśe samāsādya vikarṇaṃ samatāḍayat ||
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: Hinila niya ang busog hanggang sa sukdulan at pinakawalan ang palasong tiyak ang tama, na may matatag na loob; at tinamaan niya nang mariin si Vikarṇa sa may leeg.
