भीष्म-युधिष्ठिर-संमर्दः

Bhīṣma’s Pressure on Yudhiṣṭhira; Śikhaṇḍī’s Approach; Evening Withdrawal

तथा तस्मिन्‌ वर्तमाने दुष्कर्णो भ्रातुरन्तिके । चिच्छेद समरे चाप॑ नाकुले: क्रोधमूर्च्छित:

tathā tasmin vartamāne duṣkarṇo bhrātur antike | ciccheda samare cāpaṁ nākuleḥ krodhamūrcchitaḥ ||

Wika ni Sañjaya: Habang nagaganap ang sagupaan, si Duṣkarṇa—nalulunod sa bugso ng galit—ay pumutol sa busog ni Nakula sa gitna ng labanan, malapit sa sarili niyang kapatid. Ipinakikita ng pangyayaring ito na ang poot, hindi ang pagpipigil, ang nagtutulak sa mga mandirigma sa mga pasyang biglaan at madalas ay marahas sa digmaan.
