tena tenaiva dhāvanti manomārutaraṁhasaḥ | tataḥ sarvasya sainyasya nisvanas tumulo 'bhavat |
Wika ni Sañjaya: Itinaboy dito at doon, ang mga kabayo—kasingbilis ng isip at hangin—ay tumakbo saanman may mabuksang daan sa harap nila. Dahil dito, sumiklab ang napakalakas na ugong at kaguluhan sa buong hukbo, hudyat ng pagkalat ng pagkalito at ng di-mapipigil na pagdaloy ng digmaan kapag ito’y minsan nang umandar.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how, in war, events quickly exceed individual control: once fear and force scatter formations, even powerful assets like swift horses move unpredictably, and collective disorder spreads. Ethically, it underscores the grave consequences of unleashing violence—its momentum generates confusion and suffering beyond intention.
Sañjaya describes a battlefield moment where the horses, extremely fast, bolt in whatever direction they find space. Their uncontrolled movement triggers a loud, tumultuous uproar across the entire army, indicating disturbance and disarray in the ranks.
