भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः
Bhīṣma checks Bhīmasena; matched engagements intensify
न च मे क्रोशतस्तात श्रुतवानसि वै पुरा । तदिदं समनुप्राप्तं यत् पाण्डूनवमन्यसे,तात! इस तरहकी बातें मैंने पहले पुकार-पुकारकर कही हैं, परंतु तुमने उन सबको अनसुनी कर दिया है। तुम जो पाण्डवोंका अपमान करते आये हो, आज उसीका यह फल प्राप्त हुआ है
na ca me krośatas tāta śrutavān asi vai purā | tad idaṃ samanupprāptaṃ yat pāṇḍūn avamanyase, tāta ||
Anak ko, noon pa man ay hindi mo ako pinakinggan kahit sumigaw na ako ng babala. Ngayon ay dumating na sa iyo ang bunga nito: sapagkat matagal mong hinamak ang mga anak ni Pāṇḍu, inaani mo ngayon ang bunga ng paghamak na iyon.
