Educational Q&A

The verse presents an ethic of controlled strength: true martial excellence is not mere aggression but steadiness, restraint, and the capacity to hold the line under pressure—qualities expected of a kṣatriya in righteous warfare.

Sañjaya describes Bhīma confronting a large enemy host. Using his mace, he checks their advance and stands unwavering in the thick of the battle, compared to the immovable cosmic mountain Meru.
