The Tumult of Battle Described

ततः शैक्यायसी गुर्वी प्रगृह्ा महतीं गदाम्‌ । अधावत्‌ तावकान्‌ योधान्‌ दण्डपाणिरिवान्तक:

tataḥ śaikyāyasī gurvī pragṛhya mahatīṃ gadām | adhāvat tāvakān yodhān daṇḍapāṇir ivāntakaḥ ||

Sinabi ni Sañjaya: Pagkaraan nito, si Bhīmasena, na mahigpit na humawak sa isang napakalaki at napakabigat na pamalong bakal, ay sumugod sa iyong mga mandirigma. Gaya ni Yama, ang may hawak ng pamalo ng kaparusahan, siya’y rumagasa bilang tagapaghatid ng di-maiiwasang ganti, at ginawang tanawin ang larangan ng digmaan kung saan ang kayabangan ay tumatanggap ng nararapat na bunga.
