भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)
नाशबनुतां वारयितुं भीष्मद्रोणी महारथौ । महाराज! उस युद्धस्थलमें आपके पुत्रकी भागती हुई सेनाको महारथी द्रोण और भीष्म भी रोक न सके
sañjaya uvāca |
nāśaknūtāṃ vārayituṃ bhīṣma-droṇī mahārathau |
Sinabi ni Sañjaya: O Hari, sa larangang iyon ng digmaan, maging ang dalawang dakilang mandirigmang nakasakay sa karwahe—sina Bhīṣma at Droṇa—ay hindi napigil ang hukbo ng mga anak mo habang ito’y tumatakas.
