Educational Q&A

Even in righteous warfare, action unfolds under moral scrutiny: leaders must act with resolve while remaining conscious that revered elders and teachers witness—and are implicated in—the conflict. The verse highlights the burden of dharma when duty collides with personal reverence.

Sañjaya reports that Dṛṣṭadyumna and Yudhiṣṭhira move forward as the army looks on, in the direct presence of Droṇa and Bhīṣma. It frames a battlefield moment where the Pāṇḍava leadership advances under the gaze of the Kaurava-side elders.
