The Battlefield Impact of Bhīmasena’s Mace Combat

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights steadfast courage under pressure: a dharmic warrior does not lose composure even when surrounded by formidable foes. Inner steadiness and resolve are presented as ethical strengths in the chaos of battle.

Sañjaya describes to the king how the hero (contextually Abhimanyu) is encircled by powerful warriors in the fight, yet remains unshaken, his valor likened to that of Kṛṣṇa.
